Washi endpapers; 360 pages including index, bibliography, and glossary; 27 colour photos + 236 B&W photos, two maps, and numerous hand-drawn illustrations throughout. Introduction by renowned sculptor, designer, architect, and craftsman Isamu Noguchi. Contents include the history of Japanese paper, the materials used, the processes, the many variations of washi, and its uses. The book has a small, barely noticeable wound on front pastedown, visible only in certain light and the dust jacket's spine panel is slightly faded.
